The highly anticipated Kia PV5 has been officially revealed just before its launch at the upcoming 2025 EV Day event on February 27. This groundbreaking vehicle is not only Kia’s first-ever van but also marks the launch of their innovative Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV). This modular skateboard is specifically engineered to support a range of all-electric multi-purpose utility vehicles aimed at both personal and commercial use.

Kia plans to provide two distinct versions of the PV5: Passenger and Cargo body styles. The Passenger version includes comfortable rear seating, while the Cargo variant is designed for optimal utility without seats. Additionally, the PV5 features separate screens for both the instrument cluster and infotainment system, ensuring an advanced driving experience that stands out in today’s market.

The PV5 is set to impress with two distinct body styles: Passenger and Cargo. Both share a strong core design, but the Cargo version forgoes rear seats to maximize storage space, making it ideal for businesses. On the other hand, the PV5 Passenger version is crafted with consumers in mind, flaunting a sleek and modern aesthetic that truly stands out.

At the front, you’ll notice high-mounted angular LED strips that serve as indicators alongside the main headlight units positioned lower down. Kia PV5 EV: A Look Inside the Cabin

The PV5 dashboard will have two displays. Kia has only unveiled the exterior of the PV5, probably saving the full interior photos for the next EV Day. The exterior photos, however, provide a glimpse of the cabin, particularly the thick grab handles on the A-pillars and the distinct screens for the infotainment system and instrument cluster. In foreign markets, the Volkswagen ID Buzz will be the main rival of the Kia PV5. It’s unclear at the moment if Kia intends to introduce the PV5 to India, but the company’s 2025 EV Day might provide more information.
