Hyundai India has just made purchasing a new car a lot easier on pocket. With the recent GST 2.0 reforms announced by the Government, Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) one of the best car company in India has declared significant reductions in prices for its entire 2025 passenger vehicle portfolio. From September 22, 2025, the brand is passing on the advantage of the reworked tax regime to buyers in full, an action that has the potential to direct benefits of lakhs.
From the popular Hyundai Verna to the premium Tucson, price reductions now range from around ₹60,000 all the way up to a ₹2.4 lakh. According to HMIL’s Managing Director, Mr. Unsoo Kim, this is not just a pricing strategy, it is a push toward affordable personal mobility for the masses.
Hyundai Models Become More Affordable
The new GST 2.0 changes have infused a much-needed upset in car duties, making Indian car brands list more affordable. In the new framework, small autos, those below 4 meters with petrol motors up to 1200cc or diesel motors up to 1500cc are now taxed at the reduced rate of 18% GST. Larger cars such as SUVs and luxury sedans, which were earlier subjected to up to 50% tax, come under a single slab of 40% GST now. This uniform tax policy has enabled makers such as Hyundai to reduce their prices substantially, making individual mobility more affordable for everyone.
