Tata Curvv: Variants and Features Out Ahead of Launch

The much-anticipated production variant of the Tata Curvv is finally out. And, boy, it is turning out to be a sure-shot product. While Tata Motors will officially declare the prices on September 2, 2024, the company has already disclosed all information about Curvv regarding variants and their features. The Curvv will be available in eight all-new variants: Smart, Pure+, Pure+ S, Creative, Creative S, Creative+ S, Accomplished S, and Accomplished+ A. Let us have a rundown of the top features available across variants.

The entry-level Smart variant presents a choice between two turbo-petrol motors or a diesel motor. Other features include LED headlights with daytime running lights, LED taillights, drive modes, 16-inch steel wheels, tilt-adjustable steering, manual AC, rear parking sensors, height-adjustable driver’s seat, and steering controls for the instrument cluster. It also has features for safety, such as six airbags, three-point seatbelts for all passengers, ABS with EBD, and ESP.

The Curvv Pure+ builds on the Smart variant and includes a seven-inch setup for infotainment with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, cruise control, a four-speaker sound system, electrically adjustable and folding wing mirrors, steering-mounted controls, paddle shifters for the automatic variant, dual-tone wheel covers, and voice command functionality. The engines are not too different from those available in the Smart variant, where both manual and automatic transmissions are offered for the two turbo-petrol engines and the diesel unit.

The Curvv Pure+ S builds upon the feature list of the Pure+ variant, adding a panoramic sunroof, auto wipers, auto headlights, and 17-inch steel wheels to it. All engine and gearbox options are the same as the Pure+ variant. A versatile mix ensures performance and comfort.

The Creative variant enhances the experience with a bigger 10.25-inch Harman infotainment system, eight speakers, wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, rear defogger, full LED headlights, cooled glove box, 17-inch alloy wheels and climate control. More importantly, this variant does not get the seven-speed DCA option for its diesel version, available with the Pure+ and Pure+ S otherwise. The Creative S variant gets the new direct-injection 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine that will be available with a six-speed manual transmission.

Beginning with the Creative+, Tata has loaded up all the premium features. Some of the main highlights are 360-degree surround view cameras with blind spot monitoring, 18-inch alloys with aero inserts, sequential turn indicators, connected LED taillamps, a themed dashboard with ambient lighting, TPMS, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a rear armrest with cup holders and a dual-tone roof. This variant is available with all engine and gearbox combinations that are offered in the Curvv lineup.

This variant further enhances luxury and convenience with ventilated seats, a panoramic sunroof with mood lighting, six-way powered adjustment for the driver’s seat, leatherette upholstery, a nine-speaker JBL audio system, height adjustment for the co-driver’s seat, two-step recline function for the rear seat, wireless phone charging, and a 60:40 split function at the rear. It also gets rear disc brakes and an auto-hold function on select powertrains.

Tata Curvv Accomplished+ ARight at the top of this lineup lies the Accomplished+, which comes fully kitted out with some more features, such as a powered tailgate, LED lighting with welcome and goodbye animations, connected car technology, an auto-dimming IRVM, and Level 2 ADAS to its features. Advanced driver aids are offered in the form of adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, forward collision warning, automatic braking, high-beam assist, traffic sign recognition, and rear cross-traffic alert.
