Here’s an impressive lineup of SUVs that have been introduced in India this year.
Mercedes-Benz GLS Facelift and Maybach GLS 600

Kicking off the year in January, Mercedes-Benz unveiled the facelifted version of their flagship SUV, the GLS for 2024. This model showcases tasteful yet impactful updates including a refreshed front end with modern LED headlights and redesigned bumpers while retaining its luxurious cabin layout—now featuring new upholstery options for an enhanced experience. Buyers can select from a powerful lineup with either a 3-litre turbo-petrol or a robust 3-litre diesel engine, both paired seamlessly with a smooth-shifting 9-speed automatic transmission.
Then in May, Mercedes raised the stakes further by launching the Maybach variant of the GLS for 2024—offering exclusive tweaks to its exterior and interior that elevate luxury standards even higher.

2024 Kia Sonet Facelift

In the first half or January, Kia debuted the Sonet facelift, marking the beginning of the year. It featured new amenities, a modernized appearance, and an ADAS safety upgrade. A 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, a 360 degree camera, a single pane sunroof, automatic climate control, and ventilated front seats are among the best features. Three engine options and seven general variants are available for the 2024 Sonet.
2024 Hyundai Creta And Creta N Line
Creta Ex-showroom price: Rs 11 lakh to Rs 20.29 lakh
Ex-showroom prices for the Creta N Line range from Rs 16.82 lakh to Rs 20.44 lakh. Hyundai debuted the updated 2024 Creta, which featured significant exterior and feature changes. ADAS, a 360-degree camera, and dual-zone climate control are among the new features. A panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, and two 10.25-inch infotainment and digital driver’s display screens are additional highlights. There are three engine and four transmission options for the 2024 Creta.
In the first half of March, Hyundai’s performance-focused lineup was expanded to include the Creta N Line. Sporty upgrades like a dual-tip exhaust system, a revised steering rack, and a stiffer suspension are added to the base Creta. The Creta N Line is only available with the 1.5-liter turbo-petrol engine with 160 PS, mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT. It still has the same feature set as the standard model.
2024 Land Rover Discovery

The updated 2024 Land Rover Discovery was also introduced in India in January. Along with a new 11.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system and an updated gear selector, it also got some minor exterior updates. The 2024 Discovery is still powered by a 2-liter diesel engine with 203 horsepower or a 2-liter turbo-petrol engine with 248 horsepower.
Tata Punch EV

In the second half of January, Tata Motors introduced the Punch EV, broadening its range of electric vehicles. The Punch EV boasts a stated range of up to 421 kilometers and comes with two different battery pack options. In addition to having a 10.25-inch infotainment system, six airbags as standard, ventilated front seats, and a 360-degree camera, it has a different design than its ICE-powered counterpart.
2024 Range Rover Evoque Facelift
Ex-showroom price: Rs 67.90 lakh
The 2024 Range Rover, which was introduced at the end of January, is another Land Rover that hasn’t gotten many updates. The 2024 Evoque is only available in one Dynamic SE trim and has a price reduction of Rs 5.17 lakh over its predecessor. Both a 204 PS 2-liter diesel and a 249 PS 2-liter gasoline engine are available, along with mild hybrid technology and a 9-speed automatic transmission.
Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 Coupe
Ex-showroom price: Rs 1.81 crore
The 2024 GLE 53 Coupe facelift was introduced by Mercedes-AMG. Its sloping roofline gives it a sportier appearance while maintaining styling similarities to the updated GLE SUV. It has a 3-liter six-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that generates 435 PS and 560 Nm. In addition, the 2024 GLE 53 has a new AMG-spec steering wheel, an updated MBUX infotainment screen, and features like a panoramic sunroof, powered front seats with heating and ventilation, and a Burmester sound system.
Mercedes-Benz GLA Facelift
Ex-showroom prices range from Rs 50.50 lakh to Rs 56.90 lakh.
Mercedes also debuted the 2024 GLA facelift in India, which included minor exterior and interior changes, alongside the GLE 53 Coupe. The 2024 GLA will come equipped with a 360-degree camera system, blind spot assistance, auto high beam assist, and wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There are two trim levels available, including the AMG Line, which is limited to the 2-liter diesel engine with 190 PS and 400 Nm.
Bentley Bentayga EWB Opulence Edition
The Opulence Edition of Bentley’s lineup, which includes the Bentayga EWB Azure in India, was unveiled in early March. It has a distinctive Scarab Green exterior and a custom interior that was created in collaboration with Bentley Mumbai and the Mulliner team. Notably, there are only three Bentayga SUVs available in this India-specific edition, which is the first to be sold here.
Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor

The Urban Cruiser Taisor, a rebranded Maruti Fronx, was introduced by Toyota. With comparable engine options to the Fronx, including the 1.2-liter CNG powertrain with 77 PS, it comes in five general trim levels. In order to make the Taisor stand out, it also features alloy wheels and a modified grille. It has features like a heads-up display, wireless phone charging, automatic climate control, and a 9-inch infotainment system.
Mahindra Bolero Neo Plus

When Mahindra first introduced the Bolero Neo Plus, it was marketed as an ambulance. With its 9-seater configuration, you could think of it as an enlarged Bolero Neo. It has features like power windows, a 6-speaker sound system, and a 9-inch infotainment system with Bluetooth, AUX, and USB connectivity. The Bolero Neo Plus’s 2.2-liter diesel engine produces 118 PS and 280 Nm, and it is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.
2024 Jeep Wrangler

The updated 2024 Wrangler, which included alloy wheels and a redesigned grille, was unveiled by Jeep at the end of April. Updates inside the Wrangler include a larger 12.3-inch infotainment system and a more upscale cabin. Other features include dual-zone climate control, a 12-way water-resistant powered front-row seat, a 9-speaker Alpine sound system, and a wireless phone charger. It has an 8-speed automatic gearbox and a 2-liter turbo-petrol engine that produces 270 PS and 400 Nm.
Mahindra XUV 3XO

The 2024 Mahindra XUV 3XO made its debut with new features, a more upscale interior, and a revamped design. Mahindra’s subcompact SUV now has ADAS, a digital driver’s display, a 10.25-inch infotainment system, and a panoramic sunroof. Two turbo-petrol engine options and one diesel engine option are still available for the XUV 3XO.
Force Gurkha 5-door And Updated Gurkha 3-door

Gurkha 5-door: ex-showroom price of Rs 18 lakh
The 2024 Gurkha and its new 5-door variant were introduced by Force Motors. The Gurkha has been updated with a digital instrument cluster, a more potent diesel engine, and a 9-inch infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A 2.6-liter diesel engine that produces 140 PS and 320 Nm and is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission powers both models. Additionally, they have a four-wheel drive system with manual differential locks in the front and back.
Porsche Cayenne GTS And GTS Coupe
Ex-showroom price range: Rs 2 crore to Rs 2.01 crore
The GTS and GTS Coupe, two new models with updated styling and cabin layouts, were added to the Porsche Cayenne lineup in India. A 4-liter twin-turbo V8 petrol engine producing 500 PS and 660 Nm powers the Cayenne GTS. It is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Both have a Burmester audio system, a four-zone climate control system, a 12.6-inch curved digital driver’s display, and a number of driver-assist features.
Mercedes-Benz EQA And EQB Facelift
Ex-showroom EQA price: Rs 66 lakh
EQB Price: Rs 70.90 lakh to Rs 77.50 lakh (ex-showroom)
Mercedes introduced the updated 2024 EQB and the EQA, two electric SUVs, in early July. A 70.5 kWh battery pack and a 190 PS/385 Nm single electric motor give the EQA a 560 km range, according to WLTP. However, there are two battery pack options available for the EQB facelift: a 70.5 kWh pack that is paired with a 190 PS/385 Nm electric motor and a 66.5 kWh pack that is paired with two electric motors of 292 PS/520 Nm.
In the EQB, the larger 70.5 kWh unit has a claimed range of 535 km, while the smaller unit has a claimed range of 447 km. Along with the 7-seat arrangement, the EQB now has a 5-seat layout option thanks to the 2024 facelift.
Porsche Macan EV
Ex-showroom price range: Rs 1.22 crore to Rs 1.68 crore
In the second half of July, the Porsche Macan EV, which had previously only been available in one Turbo trim, was given two additional versions, including a new entry-level model. A 360 PS/563 Nm single electric motor and a 100-kWh battery pack power the base Macan EV, which has a stated 641 km range. Conversely, the mid-spec Macan 4S boasts a claimed range of 606 km and generates 516 PS and 820 Nm from its dual electric motors.
Mini Countryman EV
Ex-showroom price: Rs 54.90 lakh With a modernized exterior and a simple interior, Mini brought the Countryman Electric to our shores. It has a claimed range of 462 km thanks to a 66.4 kWh battery pack and a 204 PS/250 Nm single electric motor. The Countryman Electric competes with the BYD Seal, Hyundai Ioniq 5, Kia EV6, and Volvo EX40 in its price range.
Maserati Grecale
Ex-showroom price: Rs 1.31 crore At the end of July, Maserati, an Italian automaker, introduced the Grecale SUV. Two turbo-petrol engine options are available for it: a 2-liter unit with up to 330 PS and a 3-liter V6 engine with 530 PS. While the base GT and Modena models come with a 2-liter gasoline engine, the latter is only offered with the highest-spec Trofeo variant. In the near future, Maserati is also anticipated to introduce the Grecale, which is entirely electric.
Nissan X-Trail
Ex-showroom price: Rs 49.92 lakh In India, Nissan reintroduced the X-Trail SUV as a completely imported vehicle. A 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine with 163 PS and 300 Nm and mild hybrid technology powers the 2024 X-Trail. It has features like a 360-degree camera system, a panoramic sunroof, a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, and an 8-inch infotainment system.
Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 Coupe

The 2024 Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 Coupe debuted in India at the beginning of August. Its sportiness is increased by AMG-specific upgrades like a quad-tip exhaust system, 21-inch alloy wheels, and a larger grille. A 2-liter turbo-petrol engine with 421 PS and 500 Nm powers the GLC 43 Coupe, which can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds.
Tata Curvv EV And Curvv

In August, Tata Motors debuted the electric version of its eagerly awaited Curvv SUV-coupe. There are two battery pack options for the Curvv EV: a 45 kWh unit with a stated range of 502 km and a 55 kWh unit with a claimed range of 585 km. A 12.3-inch infotainment system, connected car technology, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, a JBL sound system with nine speakers, and a panoramic sunroof are some of the main features.
The ICE-powered Curvv debuted in early September. While keeping the overall SUV-coupe design language, it has minor cosmetic changes in comparison to its EV counterpart. Three engine options are available for the Curvv: a 1.5-liter diesel engine with 118 PS, a 1.2-liter turbo-petrol engine with 125 PS, or a 120 PS engine. It also has a feature set that is comparable to that of the Curvv EV.
Lamborghini Urus SE
Ex-showroom price: Rs 4.57 crore
In the first half of August, Lamborghini made its hybrid-powered Urus SE debut on our shores. It is powered by a 4-liter V8 turbocharged petrol engine and a plug-in hybrid system that can travel 60 kilo meters on electricity alone. The Urus SE can reach a top speed of 312 kmph and sprint from naught to 100 kmph in 3.4 seconds thanks to the 800 PS and 950 Nm delivered by the combined setup.
Citroen Basalt
Ex-showroom prices range from Rs 8 lakh to Rs 13.95 lakh. With the introduction of the Basalt in India, Citroen made its foray into the SUV-coupe market. It comes with a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 82 PS and 115 Nm, or a 1-liter turbo-petrol engine that produces 110 PS and 205 Nm. A wireless phone charger, automatic climate control, and a 10.2-inch infotainment system are among the standout features.
Mahindra Thar Roxx
Ex-showroom prices range from Rs 13 lakh to Rs 22.49 lakh.
The eagerly anticipated debut of Mahindra’s Thar Roxx in India also took place in the first half of August. Compared to the smaller 3-door model, it has a more contemporary interior with features like a wireless phone charger, a panoramic sunroof, and ventilated front seats. It is available with a 2-liter turbo-petrol engine that can produce up to 177 PS and 380 Nm or a 2.2-liter diesel engine that can produce up to 175 PS and 370 Nm.
Audi Q8 Facelift
Ex-showroom price: Rs 1.10 crore Late August saw the release of the redesigned Audi Q8. While the interior is still comparable to the pre-facelift model, the exterior was updated with new LED lighting, a redesigned front grille, and redesigned bumpers. A Bang & Olufsen audio system, heated and ventilated seats with a massaging function, and four-zone climate control are among the best features.
2024 Hyundai Alcazar
Ex-showroom prices range from Rs 14.99 lakh to Rs 21.54 lakh.
Hyundai debuted the 2024 Alcazar in India with an updated cabin and a new look. Both six-seat and seven-seat layout options are still available, and turbo-petrol and diesel engine options are still available. The 2024 Alcazar has new features like ADAS, wireless phone chargers for the first and second rows, and an electric boss mode.
Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV And Maybach EQS 680
The ex-showroom price of the EQS SUV is Rs 1.41 crore.
Price of the Maybach EQS: Rs 2.25 crore (ex-showroom)
Mercedes debuted two new models in September: the standard model and the Maybach EQS SUV. With its distinctive design elements and a 122 kWh battery pack that powers two electric motors with 658 PS and 900 Nm, the Maybach EQS SUV is said to have a 611 km range. The same 122 kWh battery pack and dual electric motor setup are used in the EQS SUV, which has a stated 809-kilometer range and 544 PS/858 Nm of power.
Tata Nexon CNG
Ex-showroom prices range from Rs 9 lakh to Rs 14.60 lakh.
With a factory-installed CNG kit and a turbo-petrol engine, Tata Motors introduced the Nexon CNG. A 1.2-liter turbo-petrol engine with 120 PS powers the Nexon CNG, producing 100 PS and 170 Nm in CNG mode. Additionally, it has high-end features like automatic air conditioning for comfort, ventilated front-row seats, and a panoramic sunroof.
Rolls-Royce Cullinan Series II
Ex-showroom price: Rs 10.50 crore Rolls-Royce made the Cullinan Series II debut in India at the end of September. Its 6.75-liter V12 gasoline engine produces 571 PS and 850 Nm, and it is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The Cullinan Series II’s interior includes an 18-speaker sound system, a new Spirit of Ecstasy Clock Cabinet, and a dashboard panel with 7,000 laser-etched dots.
Kia EV9
Ex-showroom price: Rs 1.30 crore In India
Kia debuted the EV9, their flagship electric SUV. It has features like an 18-way adjustable powered driver’s seat, a 14-speaker Meridian sound system, and heated and ventilated seats for the front and second rows. The EV9 has a stated range of 561 kilometers and comes with a 99.8 kWh battery pack and two electric motors that generate 384 PS and 700 Nm.
2024 Nissan Magnite Facelift
Ex-showroom prices range from Rs 5.99 lakh to Rs 11.50 lakh. Early in October, the 2024 Nissan Magnite facelift debuted with a few minor design changes. Along with an updated interior design, it comes equipped with a 360-degree camera, six airbags, an 8-inch infotainment system, and automatic climate control. The 100 PS 1-liter turbo-petrol engine and its 5-speed MT and CVT automatic transmission options are among the two gasoline engine options that the 2024 Magnite will still have.
2024 Mercedes-AMG G63
Ex-showroom price: Rs 3.60 crore
In 2024, Mercedes-AMG unveiled the updated exterior and interior of the G63. AMG-specific features include a new set of alloys, updated bumpers, and 29 more color options than the standard lineup. A 4-liter V8 turbo-petrol engine with mild hybrid technology powers the 2024 G63, generating 585 PS and 850 Nm in total. It takes 4.3 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph.
Skoda Kylaq

Skoda revealed the starting price of the Kylaq, their newest subcompact SUV, during the first week of November. A single 1-liter turbo-petrol engine with 115 PS and 178 Nm is available, mated to a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic gearbox. Highlights of the features include a sunroof, a wireless phone charger, and a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
Mahindra XEV 9e And BE 6
The starting price of the XEV 9e is Rs 21.90 lakh (ex-showroom).

Mahindra added two new EVs to its SUV lineup with the introduction of the XEV 9e and BE 6. The sporty SUV-coupe styling and simple interiors of both models, which are packed with high-end features, make them stand out. A 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, dual-zone climate control, ventilated powered front-row seats, and a fixed panoramic glass roof are some of the highlights. With 59 kWh and 79 kWh battery pack options, the XEV 9e and BE 6 are said to have a range of up to 682 km. The complete costs of both EVs are anticipated to be revealed by Mahindra at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo.
Audi Q7 Facelift
