Mark your calendar for January 17, 2025, as the highly anticipated Hyundai Creta EV will make its grand debut at the Bharat Mobility Show.
Hyundai Creta EV to take on BE 6e, Curvv EV
Hyundai is gearing up to launch the Creta EV, positioned to challenge competitors like the newly launched Mahindra BE 6e (possibly renamed to BE6), Tata Curvv EV, MG ZS EV, and Maruti’s upcoming all-electric SUV, the e-Vitara.
What sets the Creta EV apart from some rivals is Hyundai’s cautious approach to its design. While it shares much of its styling with the traditional Creta, it will feature notable enhancements. Expect a distinctive closed grille, updated bumpers, fresh alloy wheel designs, and unique electric vehicle badges that give it an edge.
Inside the Creta EV, you’ll find impressive updates including a modern three-spoke steering wheel inspired by the latest Kona EV. Practical touches such as a drive elector near the steering column and a redesigned centre console with dual cup holders will enhance user experience. Plus, convenience features like buttons for electronic parking brakes, cooled seats, auto-hold functionality and a 360-degree camera add value to this model. Notably, come controls from Alcazar facelift also make their way into this vehicle.
With these thoughtful upgrades and striking design choices while keeping core elements intact from its predecessor – Hyundai’s Creta EV is ready to make waves in the electric vehicle market.
Hyundai Creta EV range, battery
We previously shared exciting news about the Creta EV, and it’s time to dive into what makes this vehicle a game changer. Equipped with a 45kWh battery pack, it might be slightly less than the MG ZS EV’s 50.3kWH and the upcoming Maruti eVX’s range of 49-61kWh, but its right on target with the entry-level Curvv EV’s battery. The Creta EV stands out with its impressive single front-axle mounted motor that delivers around 138hp and an exhilarating torque of 255Nm, reminiscent of the latest-gen Kona EV.
Hyundai India has ambitious plans for this amazing SUV, aiming to roll out around 24000 units each year. And there’s more expect Hyundai to offer competitive pricing when the Creta EV hits showroom next month. Get ready for electrifying addition to the market.
