Toyota has officially launched the all new, ninth – generation Camry in India with prices starting at Rs 48 lakh (ex-showroom). This model, which made its debut in November last year, represents a significant upgrade over its predecessor, combining cutting-edge technology, enhanced design, and improved performance.
Under the hood, the 2024 Toyota Camry is powered by a 2.5 litre petrol engine paired with a hybrid motor, generating a combined output of 230bhp. The power is sent to the wheels via an e-CVT gearbox, offering a smooth driving experience across its three drive modes – Sport, Eco, and Normal. This hybrid powertrain not only delivers excellent performance but also maintains impressive fuel efficiency, aligning with Toyota’s commitment to environment sustainability.
In terms of design, the new Toyota Camry features a refreshed, bold exterior that makes a strong visual statement. The front fascia boasts C-shaped LED daytime running lights (DRLs), a sleek grille, a wide air dam, and air vents on either side of the bumper, giving it a modern and dynamic appearance. Fresh 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels and contrast coloured outside rear-view mirrors (ORVMs) enhance its sporty yet elegant look. The rear is characterized by wraparound taillights and a panoramic sunroof, adding a premium touch to its overall aesthetic.
Inside, the 2024 Camry continues to impress with a host of luxurious features and advanced technologies. The sedan is equipped with a 360-degree camera, a new fully digital instrument console, and a large touchscreen infotainment system that supports wireless mobile projection. Three-zone climate control ensures comfort for all occupants, while an advanced ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) suite enhances safety by offering features like adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and automatic emergency braking. The new steering wheel design adds a touch of sophistication to the interior, complementing the premium feel.
For added convenience, the sedan includes features like an electric parking brake (EPB), a wireless charger, a head-up display (HUD), and 10-way power-adjustable front seats. Safety is paramount, with the 2024 Camry offering nine airbags and rear seats with a recline function, ensuring protection for both the driver and passengers. Toyota offers the new Camry in a single, fully-loaded variant, which makes it the only choice for buyers who desire a combination of luxury, advanced technology, and hybrid efficiency. With its new-generation features and enhanced styling, the 2024 Toyota Camry aims to set new benchmarks in the luxury sedan segment in India, catering to buyers looking for a premium, eco-friendly driving experience.
