This model is set to challenge established competitors like the Hyundai Creta EV<\/a>, Mahindra BE.06, and the newly launched Tata Harrier EV. What\u2019s exciting is that it\u2019s expected to hit the Indian market just in time for the festive season, so we\u2019re looking at around two months from now!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When comparing sizes, while the VF 6 may be shorter in length than the Creta, it boasts a wider frame and longer wheelbase for enhanced stability and interior space. Weighing over two tonnes, this SUV provides a generous 423 litres of boot capacity and comfortably seats five passengers. In terms of design, expect a modern crossover vibe with the VF 6 versus the more traditional look of the Creta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Considering that VinFast and its VF 6 are still relatively unknown in India, there\u2019s every reason to believe this vehicle could underprice its competitors significantly, including the Hyundai Creta EV, making it an attractive option for buyers looking for quality electric vehicles without breaking their budget.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It doesn’t quite match the modern skateboard-style EVs that feature a flat floor and maximized cabin space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another noteworthy aspect is that the VF 6 comes as a front-wheel drive vehicle. While VinFast does provide an all-wheel-drive option in other markets, this variant isn’t available in India, at least for now. The Indian model boasts a 200bhp motor with 310Nm of torque upfront. Despite the VF 6’s weight, it still manages to accelerate from 0 to 100 km\/h in just under nine seconds. It’s quick for sure, but it doesn’t deliver the same level of excitement as some of its rivals on the market today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The VF 6 truly stands out with its impressive four levels of regenerative braking: Off, Low, Medium, and High, where High allows for convenient one-pedal driving. Additionally, it features three driving modes: Eco for efficiency, Normal for everyday use, and Sport to unleash full performance. Powering this exceptional vehicle is a 59.6 kWh battery pack that\u2019s competitive within its segment and offers an impressive claimed range of around 440km. Unlike the Creta’s torsion beam at the rear, the VF 6 boasts independent suspension on all four corners. This design choice ensures an excellent balance between comfort and handling\u2014a feature we are eager to assess in real-world conditions on Indian roads. The VF 6 is not just another electric vehicle; it represents a significant step forward in driving technology that you should consider seriously.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can look forward to all-LED lighting, rapid charging capabilities, powered and ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control, a stunning edge-to-edge panoramic sunroof, a heads-up display, and a completely button-free interface. Most functions are managed through a large central touchscreen infotainment system that we found easy to navigate\u2014intuitive and responsive with zero lag, even when adjusting wing mirrors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When it comes to safety, the VF 6 doesn\u2019t cut corners either. It includes seven airbags along with an extensive range of electronic aids such as ABS, EBD, Brake Assist, ESC (Electronic Stability Control), Traction Control, Hill Start Assist, and more. Vinfast is also targeting a coveted five-star Bharat NCAP crash rating for this model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
