Combined, 1,821 units of the&nbsp;Skoda&nbsp;Kylaq, Kushaq and Slavia, along with the&nbsp;Volkswagen&nbsp;Virtus and Taigun produced between December 2021 and May 2025, are impacted, as per data from the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers. SAVWIPL had previously&nbsp;recalled these same models in May 2025, affecting 47,235 units.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SIAM data also mentions the assembly of incorrect parts in affected vehicles<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Frame crack in the seat belt assembly&#8217;s metal base is likely<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Skoda Kylaq, Kushaq and Slavia recall<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"532\" src=\"https:\/\/auto-gully.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Whats-the-Issue-1024x532.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2727\" srcset=\"https:\/\/auto-gully.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Whats-the-Issue-1024x532.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/auto-gully.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Whats-the-Issue-600x312.jpg 600w, https:\/\/auto-gully.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Whats-the-Issue-300x156.jpg 300w, https:\/\/auto-gully.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Whats-the-Issue-768x399.jpg 768w, https:\/\/auto-gully.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Whats-the-Issue-150x78.jpg 150w, https:\/\/auto-gully.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Whats-the-Issue.jpg 1500w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>860 Skodas affected.<br>&#8220;This concern was identified during the ongoing quality inspection for Skoda Kushaq, Slavia and Kylaq manufactured during the aforesaid period,&#8221; stated the SIAM document. It further added that the rear seat belt assembly (left and right sides) of 860&nbsp;Skoda Slavia<strong>,&nbsp;<\/strong>Kushaq<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>and<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>Kylaq&nbsp;units could have a &#8220;frame crack in the metal base&#8221;. Also, &#8220;incorrect part[s]&#8221; were installed for these seatbelts, which may need replacement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Volkswagen Virtus and Taigun recall<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>961 VWs affected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The same issue affects 961&nbsp;Volkswagen Taigun&nbsp;and<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>Virtus&nbsp;units. Evidently, the imported Volkswagen Golf GTI and Tiguan R Line are unaffected. In international markets, Volkswagen recently recalled the Polo, Passat, Taigo, ID 7, ID 7 Tourer and the ID Buzz over another safety issue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As is usually the case with these recalls, the company is expected to directly reach out to owners of the concerned vehicles to fix the problem.
